WARNING: F-BOMBS AHEAD.As I was reading CNN.com today, I came across an article about something dubbed the "mommy wars." Apparently, women who have children are calling women without children "selfish" for not wanting to crank one out.
I don't mean to imply all mothers are saying this. But clearly there must be a group large enough and substantially vocal to make this an issue worthy of being put on CNN.com.
I find it ironic, and hypocrital. Here's why.
These women who have been foolish enough to procreate and pop out one of those little bastards and now have the gall to call childless women (and by extension men) "selfish" are bitter. Bitter that those of us who are intelligent enough to realize what a drain on time, energy, and resources those needy seagulls are have wisely decided to exercise our perogative and NOT give birth to the next Regan McNeil or Chucky.
These are doublessly the same group of rabid soccermoms who let their children run amok in public places, the degree of amokness exponentially inversely related to the amount of space available for those little bacteria-laden vectors to run around and piss other people off (like an airplane). This same group is probably the same group who do absolutely nothing to discipline thier children and have the gall and audacity to be upset when we confront you about the fact that your little demonspawn should stop kicking the back of my chair on the plane (or in the movie), or should not be turned around backwards staring at me in a restaurant booth, or running through Target unattended while screaming at the top of it's lungs.
To those of you inconsiderate parents who want to make the rest of us miserable because you didn't practice birth control, you need to take that snot-nosed fucker out back and whoop it til it yells. And if you don't, then don't get upset when the rest of us step up and parent your child for you because you're too selfish to do it yourself.
Hey T - Happy Birthday!!!
