Today, Jim Benton (jimbenton.com) is my favorite person in the world. This guy should be King for a Day. Seriously.My best friend Mouse and I talk about how people don't get our sense of humor. Jim Benton's Happy Bunny character is the total personification of what makes me laugh. I proudly admit my humor is entirely crass (I totally adore comedians like Lewis Black, Dennis Miller, Kathy Griffin, Brett Butler, and Lisa Lampanelli), frequently inappropriate (never joke about having a club foot in a room full of members of various parts of the disability community), and esoteric (for ALL the people to see!!).
I dig movies like Drop Dead Gorgeous (for professional reasons); I think I would have enjoyed Sordid Lives and Queens of Comedy anyway, but I think I enjoyed them that much more because I was living on the Gulf Coast when I saw them. Movies like these are what my inner Bunny craves and needs, and leave me laughing 'til I cry and my sides ache.
